Original, first release, linen-backed Japanese 1 panel poster for the 1973 classic'The Long Goodbye', directed by Robert Altman and starring Elliott Gould as Philip Marlowe. Based on the novel by Raymond Chandler. This design - featuring great images from the film - is one of the more evocative "Long Goodbye" posters and was only used in Japan. Size is approximately 20" x 28.5" inches (linen border extends about 3/4 inch all around) Condition is very fine: it was in great shape prior to linen-backing with just a few pinholes. Great-looking poster - ready to frame!
